Mary Help of Christians,
Pray for us.

Last May 24 was the feast day of Mary Help of Christians. I did something that I think made Her happy. I asked for forgiveness and reconciled with a dear friend and brother. It took me a year and so just to have courage to forgive someone. Because of pride, it took me a long time, but it really served as a lesson. It taught me things and made me realize that there are still a lot of thing to be learned. After that realization it was easier for me to accept things.

Like Mary I did a humbling act. Mary, when she was asked by the Angel to be the bearer of the Son of God she accepted with no hesitation. I asked myself why I had to wait for so long just to forgive someone, maybe because I am way far from Mary’s virtue.

In life we struggle to be holy to be whole as we can, not to impress others or to please somebody. We do it for peace of mind. Isn’t that fulfilling to see that you are whole as a person? When you are ready to give something you already have, for we cannot give what we do not have.

Don Bosco said “Have devotion to Mary Help of Christians and see what miracles are.” I passed the licensure exams for teachers. And I attribute and offer my success to her, if not because of my prayers to the Blessed Mother I wont be included to the 6, 483 out of 27, 802 who took the exams. This does not consist of luck and hard work alone. My faith and devotion to the Blessed Virgin helped me to be guided while answering the exams.

I have a lot of things to thank the Blessed Mother. All my success and endeavors are all offered to her. She is my all time inspiration to do well and continue to be a better person. To have a role model like her the world will be a better place to live in.
